Air We Breathe by Jindots

The air we breathe.
The air your mother and father breathe.
The air your children breathe.
The air you breathe.
The air Mumbai breathes.
The air we breathe.
We shouldn’t be able to see the air we breathe.
The air we breathe does not ask who we are, how much we own or where we come from. It enters our bodies and becomes a part of us.
With air, there is no escaping. When it is compromised, we all carry that compromise inside our bodies.
Suspended in the air, the pyramid reveals our lungs intertwined with Mother Earth, and beside her the humming bird that pulses with the unstoppable heartbeat of Mumbai.
Hand-drawn patiently dot by dot, breath by breath, and printed in lenticular format, the work shows us our shared vulnerability as a city with a simple message - "We shouldn't be able to see the air we breathe".
